Welcome to my blog! Thought there may be a few folks who would be interested in hearing about this lil yankee's adventures in the South. Considering I've never lived outside of Maine (OK, outside the River Valley actually) it may be good for a laugh once in a while...
So, with four days to go until travel day, I'm definitely starting to feel the stress. Work is crazy, getting packed, trying to see everyone I want to spend time with and say good-bye to...and feeling anxious about driving so far and so long with Anna. I think she has doggie IBS (irritable bowel syndrome). Seriously. Walk her and she needs to crap every 200 feet. Drive with her and she needs to stop every half hour or so. Should be interesting.
The U-Box was delivered today. Looked a LOT bigger in the video they have on their website. Jim will have to be very creative to get everything packed in there.
Have been doing the job and place-to-live search on the Internet for the past few weeks. I did a little digging on Craig's List the other night for houses to rent. The first line of one ad caught my eye:
"No loud jacked up 4x4's ,boom boom music or other idiocy."
Made me chuckle, but thought - OK, so the landlord is looking for decent, non-troublemaking tenants, right?
Last line of the ad read: "No deposit required if I hold guns, motorcycles, tools,jewelry or something worth at least $750 in lieu of cash deposit."
